The choice was to make a short film “documentary format” within Gaec Lejeanne in order to highlight the evolution of the farming profession with sustainable development, methanization, mechanization.

Winners of the Grand Ouest prize

This action made it possible to confirm professional projects. For example, Mathéo wants to work in the equine or cattle sector, and Nathan, thanks to the Local Mission, was able to obtain his license and plans to resume his studies in an agricultural high school in field cultivation or driving agricultural machinery. Tuesday morning, the Local Mission was welcomed within the Gaec des Fosses, to receive the 3rd prize Grand Ouest, awarded by Crédit Mutuel de Maine-Anjou and Basse-Normandie.

“Every year, we are proud to see our young people win prizes during this competition. I am delighted to announce that the Local Mission will once again participate in the “I film the job that I like” competition for the 2024-2025 season” indicates Jean-Marie Goussin, President of the Local Mission.

Transmitting a love of the profession to young people

Philippe Lejeanne captivated the audience by passionately recounting his love for his profession and his wish to introduce agriculture to the new generation to create vocations and change perspectives on the agricultural world. “If I had several lives, I would do exactly the same life! The same job. I managed to pass on my passion to my two sons who took over and I am extremely proud of it. Each person should find their own way, they just need to explore, do internships to confirm their project.” he declared.

The young people, accompanied by Alexia Chabot, advisor and Julien Bouhallag, youth leader, retraced the highlights of this journey. “It is important to emphasize that agriculture is modernizing, but also its working conditions, this is the message that we wanted to convey via this video” explains Alexia Chabot.
