The sequence proposed this Monday November 11, 2024 on M6around 10 p.m., is undoubtedly unprecedented in the long history of “L’Amour est dans le pré”.
For the first appearance of the couple formed by our Manche candidate Valentin and his Breton sweetheart Flaviewe quickly understand that something is not right.
After recalling the first kisses exchanged on a beach in Calvados in the previous episode, Karine Le Marchand “summoned” the young lovebirds to evoke a real turning in this 19e saison. A separation? No, at all. On the contrary, the ordeal that falls on them can only strengthen their budding romantic bonds.
“A tumor that was supposed to be benign”
In voice-over, the famous presenter explains that she has them guests in Paris to discuss because they entrusted him with important information… “We are here to talk about destiny, because it has affected you doubly. The week is spent on the farm, and then… there was a precedent regarding your health. »
Flavie then speaks: “I had had surgery at the beginning of February for a tumor which was supposed to be benign, in the shoulder. They called me back two months later. The doctor tells me that the analyzes are not good, ultimately it’s not benign, it’s malignant. »
Obviously, tears came, I was far from imagining that… even though I had found happiness a week before.
We imagine the emotional elevator when the verdict falls: a skin cancer. If the operation has already been carried out, the 21-year-old Breton must begin a chemotherapy“as a precaution”. The PET scan and MRI don’t reveal anything more, “that’s reassuring, it’s good news,” she smiles, talking about her catheter in her arm, hidden by a black sleeve.
Unfailing support
She also tells Karine Le Marchand that she is in good shape, that doctors are confident, and that she quickly confided the sad news to her companion. “I said I was going to support her. »
Health being essential, the question arose whether or not to continue filming them, particularly when Valentin had to meet his sweetheart’s loved ones. “And then I had to know your family and your parents first, I couldn’t show up at the hospital like that…”
Flavie therefore made the decision to continue the adventure because “It gets me out of this situation”. While moving forward with filming before the first chemo, “because I didn’t know how my body was going to react”.
The sequence ends with a debate on the modesty of Valentin who does not easily let his emotions be expressed. He even promises to discuss with the show’s psychologist, because let’s not forget that he already suffered a tragedy at the age of 19: the sudden loss of his father in an accident.
“As in fairy tales, there are a test to go through together, it’s something that will build you very, very strong,” concludes Karine Le Marchand, as moved as she is optimistic, before giving reassuring and more recent news in the comments.
“It’s obvious that he’s a good guy.”
The second passage in this 13e episode is therefore more joyful, with bursts of laughter, since it is a return a few weeks ago during the meal with Flavie’s sister and friends. “We had a pleasant evening,” confides the young farmer from the Torigny-les-Villes region.
The sister seems won over: “Valentin, he seems to be someone very nice, he has a banana, he’s bubbly, he’ll fit in well. It turns out he’s a good guy. » A good mutual impression: “I adore Flavie’s loved ones, we laughed as if we had known each other for ten years. It’s perfect, you have to buy it, as someone else would say! »
A welcome evening to think about something other than illness. Between Bretons and Normans, “we are going to sign a peace treaty for love”.
