And 20 for the Agadir international Cinema and Migrations festival, which opens this Monday, November 11 at the Agadir medina space. On the program for the official competition, eight feature films and ten short films.

The jury responsible for awarding feature films is chaired by Moroccan director Moumen Smihi. The artist will be accompanied in this mission by the actress Houda Rihani, the director and screenwriter Saâd Chraïbi, the Tunisian producer and film industry expert Taoufiq Guiga, the Moroccan-Dutch director Chaouki El Oufir and the Moroccan director, professor and writer Abdellah Abou Aouad.

On the short film side, the competing works will be evaluated by a jury chaired by the Moroccan director, producer and screenwriter Adil El Fadili, the Moroccan actress Khadija Sakarine, the Franco-Moroccan actress Mounia Magueri, the author, composer, artistic director and French musician Joël Pellegrini and audiovisual teacher Mohammed Belghouate. The film screenings will take place at the Sahara cinema hall in the Talborjt district.

During the opening ceremony, a posthumous tribute will be paid to the great actress, Moroccan audiovisual icon, Naima Elmcherqui, who died last October, to the Moroccan director Ahmed Maanouni and to the actress Houda Rihani.

The Agadir cinema and migration festival is organized this year in partnership and collaboration with the wilaya of Souss-Massa, the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Souss-Massa region, the Prefectural Council of Agadir, the city’s Territorial Collectivity, the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM), as well as other public and private institutional partners.
