After having undergone its transformation in 2022, the Croq’ festival returns for a ninth edition in Caen (). Formerly called Novembre Gourmand, the culinary event invites you to discover gastronomy from all its angles, “from producer to consumer, from great chef to amateur cook”.

From November 15 to 17, 2024, the event will once again take place at Abbaye-aux-Hommes. Discover the programme.

Delicious chef bites for 2 euros

It’s the event within the event! From November 15 to 17, the famous 2-euro appetizers prepared by local chefs offer you the opportunity to taste tasty preparations, on site or to take awayin the cloister of Abbaye-aux-Hommes. Several slots are available to you:

  • Friday : appetizer from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with Varsågood, L’Oriental Couscous, Anouche and Abuelo; aperitif dinner from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., with Pas de Fraise à Noël, Raphaël, À Contre and Carlotta.
  • SATURDAY : lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Magma, Stéphane Carbone, Simplexité and Ô Globe; gourmet coffee and snack from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., with Bibiche, Alban Guilmet, La Pavillon and Augia; aperitif dinner from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with Popotes, Séquence, La Verrière and Pigalle.
  • Sunday : brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with C Comme Traiteur, Boucherie Sabot, Deli, L’Imprimerie and Greedy Guts.

The Halle gourmande and its Norman nuggets

Come and meet Caen producers and traders to discover Norman gems.

Fresh, local and seasonal products… All you have to do is prepare your basket!

  • In the cloister: Les Vergers de Ducy (cider, apple juice), Barbaques (cured products), Confrérie de Pont-l’Évêque (cheese), Tripière d’or (tripe). Paintati & Paintata (bakery), Le Garde-Manger du Vaugeux (grocery store), Le Grand Bleu (fish), Maison Cookie (biscuits), Oh My Chef (cooked meals) and Funky Doughny (donuts).
  • In the scriptorium: Yver (chocolates), Mademoiselle Hel (chocolates), La à Confiture, La Ferme du Gros Caillou (cured products) and Saffron de Normandie.
  • In the refectory: l’Arbuste (coffee), La Cave du Vaugueux (wines) and Normandie Cocktails.
  • On the esplanade: Ferme de la Houssaye (foie gras), La Cave à oysters, Le Grand Bleu (fish) and La Cave du Vaugueux (wines).

Workshops with professionals

  • Friday : cocktails with Epicure and appetizers with J&L Traiteur, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., in the Scriptorium room.
  • SATURDAY : making napkin rings with Coop 5 pour 100, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and table floral art with the Caen floral art workshop, from 11:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., in the wedding hall.
  • Sunday : blind tasting with Coop 5 pour 100, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; sensory journey and taste experiences with Céline Tissot, from 10:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; and oenology with Franck Boulanger, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., in the wedding hall.
