For three months, the FRIENDS living home the blue house in Valay in Haute-Saône was transformed into real movie set. With the help of the Le terrain des images de Vesoul association, eight residents aged 23 to 63, adults with mental disabilities, wrote and then shot a short film. The final product, mixing the world of horror films and westerns, is presented Tuesday, November 12 at the home.
From writing to filming
Budding filmmakers had carte blanche. They could make a film on whatever subject they wanted. But before shooting, we had to write the script. “We did four writing sessions, lasting around two hours each timeexplains Mathieu Brassier, the artistic director of the Le terrain des images association. The next four sessions were devoted to filming. Whether the appearance on screen is brief or more significant, all the residents took part in the acting game.
As for the story itself, Mathieu Brassier prefers not to reveal too much before the screening. “We’re going to say that it’s three universes that mixsmiles the artistic director. It’s somewhere between a detective film, a horror/thriller film set in a hotel and a western! Worlds that mix and come together in the end.”
The short film lasts 11 minutes. The screening, free but by reservation, begins at 2:30 p.m. at the AMIS blue house in Velay. To reserve your placesyou can write directly to Mathieu Brassier at the following email address: [email protected] or call him directly on his cell phone at 06 23 96 86 18.
