Francos 2024: Fanny Bloom opens the ball in style

Singer-songwriter Fanny Bloom attracted a consistent mass of festival-goers, but also very varied, ranging from 7 to 77 years old and beyond, early Sunday evening during her big return to the Francos.

The artist, who gave his very first concert at the festival after an absence of 5 years, opened the ball, on the secondary stage, to this women’s evening also featuring The Boulay sisters, Guylaine Tanguay and Pomme.

The singer notably performed, as the sun quietly descended in the sky, some of her most popular songs, from her latest albums, but also from her first, including Perfect perfect (Warrior Apprentice), the success of June 2014 Pool (Bang), its resumption of Dance with Me by Martine St-Claire (White) And Pacemakerthe very first song she released with the group La Patère Rose – which she formed until 2011 with Julien Harbec and Thomas Hébert, both members of the group Valaire.

This last piece is also the very first to have had its video clip broadcast on Musique Plus, she told her crowd, who were very participatory on Sunday.

Fanny Bloom also performed her song The big meeting, written as part of Culture Days last year. She, who is more used to interpreting it in a piano-voice style, played it on Sunday for the first time on stage in a pop version.

The Francos continue until June 22, in Montreal.
