Bruno Julien is an impersonator, comedian and hall artist. Music and humor have always been part of his life, and for more than thirty years he has made it his full-time job. “At ten years old I was already a little boy who loved to sing, my dad told stories, as he was better than me I started doing imitations”, says the artist with humor. He will be present at the Phénix de Mésanger complex, in -Atlantique, on Saturday November 16.

Claude François, politicians, television presenters, comedians like Bourvil or de Funès at the time, everything is an excuse to laugh for the young man who quickly wrote his own texts and appeared for the first time on big stages in the age of 18. Then, it was the Parisian cabarets which served as his playground, the César Palace and the Pied de la Butte allowed him to meet a number of artists and to forge his personality, his acting and humor. “We’re always a little shy, but when we enter the show, the shyness passes with the audience after a minute,” he confides.

“Never with malice, always with humor”

In 1994, after spending years as a salesman during the week and an artist on weekends, Bruno Julien decided to devote his life to his passion and finally became an intermittent worker in entertainment. In collaboration with his lifelong lyricist and his partner Barbara, he writes his own texts, mixes humor and music with his singing voices, plays parodies and deals with current events, “like the electric car, politics, or even Trump, I talk about everything that can be amused, never with malice but always with humor”, he specifies.

A multifaceted artist, Bruno Julien performs his shows throughout while remaining based in the stronghold of his childhood, in Thouaré-sur-Loire. His motto: “I am here to give morale to the French, to give the joy of living, to share this happiness between the public and the artist. »
