The Moroccan channel 2M welcomed a new concept, that of “Jam Show”, a show entirely devoted to rap. This program offered an unprecedented platform to young Moroccan rap talents to make themselves known.
Nezar, whose real name is Nizar Zouhri, won the final after six weeks of competition. His performances won over the public and the jury. The latter consisted of renowned rappers like ElGrandeToto and Dizzy Dros.
Originally from Azilal, Nezar has been interested in rap since the age of 9. At the age of 23, he has only one goal in mind: to become a rap star, affirming that his life would have no meaning without this cultural and musical movement.
With the 250,000 dirhams won, the young rapper plans to produce an album and a music video, declaring that this victory “facilitates his path to success“. His stuffed teddy bear, the mascot of his clips, represents a part of him, his identity and will become the logo of his future brand.
During the competition, Nezar showed great resilience and certain talent, confirming his place among the young hopes of Moroccan rap. His inspiring journey and artistic vision portend a bright future for the Kingdom’s music scene.
