Third best start of the year for a French film, Love Phew attracts more and more spectators.
Love phew by Gilles Lellouche continues to seduce. The French film of the moment attracted more than three million spectators three weeks after its theatrical release, according to weekly figures published Wednesday by CBO Box-Office. The romantic adventure with François Civil and Adèle Exarchopoulos dominates the French box office, having garnered 864,877 spectators from October 30 to November 5.
In phew loveJackie (Adèle Exarchopoulos), a girl from a good family, meets Clotaire (François Civil), the son of a worker and delinquent. Set in the 1980s, in Lille, the film traces the romantic story of a love that will defy time.
Gilles Lellouche’s new film retains its first place at the French box office for the 3rdth consecutive week. This is the third best start of the year for a French film, only Vice-Versa 2 (1.9 million in the first week) and Le Comte de Monte Cristo (1.2 million) did better in 2024, according to AFP.

The biopic Mr Aznavour with Tahar Rahim continues to seduce crowds, attracting more than a million music lovers or curious people after two weeks on the big screen.
With Juror #2 Clint Eastwood takes fourth place in the ranking, plunging 453,813 spectators into a murky trial, carried by the British actor Nicholas Hoult who slips into the role of the watered sprinkler. Far from a meditation on American justice, many young audiences and families have discovered the animated film The Wild Robot latest creation from Dreamworks studios (252,251 entries, 1.4 million).
