After closing for a few days for health reasons, the Lenormand butchery and charcuterie in Tinchebray (Orne) regains color at the start of the month of November 2024. With the return of Nicolas Lenormand, a product voted best in is back on display.

A few weeks ago, rabbit pâté obtained the highest distinction by the Brotherhood of Fine Gourmets of Longny-au-Perche. “I had already obtained the bronze medal for this pâté, in 2018”, testifies the trader before adding, with a smile: “obviously, the recipe has improved a little since then”.

The title of French champion: “a nice surprise”

It was 28 years ago, when he was in apprenticeshipthat Nicolas Lenormand makes his first rabbit pâté. “Since then, I have mixed what I learned in different houses to create my own recipe. »

Presented in front of a hundred competitors as a professional, the pâté made in Tinchebray has made the difference. “It’s a nice surprise to finish first. »

Before the competition, I sold 4 to 5 kg of rabbit pâté every week, now it’s 15 to 20.
