Due to lack of venue, the Pic Vert is launching its cultural season outside the walls on Saturday November 9 with Monsieur Tristan. A plural and nomadic proposition.

Ravaged by an arson attack in November 2023, the Pic Vert keeps the flame alive by launching its cultural season outside the walls on Saturday November 9, with the Comedy Club of Mr Tristan. A multidisciplinary, varied and nomadic season, the Grand Bouillon – this is the name of the cultural association which hides under the feathers of the bird – having joined forces with different places in the city of the glove to stay the course .

“When we knew, in September, that the duration of the work could extend over almost the entire season, we decided to offer something to liven up the Millavois winter, validates the employee Elodie Uras. We also wanted to maintain this strong bond with customers and this cultural dynamism that we have established by establishing all these partnerships today.”

While out and about, the Pic Vert will therefore set down its suitcases with those of the Millavois associations and structures which have opened their doors. This is the case of the Chakana association, the Doline theater, the Maison du Peuple or the village halls, the carpentry or René Rieux made available by the City.

“We want to laugh!”

It is also in this room that this new season will be inaugurated with the Comedy Club of Mr Tristan. Stand-up, sketches, singing interaction with the public… he who has already made his mark on the stages of , will arrive in accompanied by three young comedians for 1 hour 20 minutes of good humor. “It’s a request that comes up often, recalls Elodie Urvas. Many asked us: why don’t you schedule a one-man show? We want to laugh!” It is now done.

January 11. O Gatsby Day. A day of workshops and 1930s dances (tap dance, Lyndy Hop, burlesque). Musical aperitif and cabaresque surprises. Warm-up by Ada and Robin followed by a swing concert by Jungle Calls. At the carpentry.

January 23 in the hall of the Maison du Peuple theater for the Les Givrées festival, with Cannibal Loveacoustic duo from Cie la Brebis égarée, opening act for Petite Gueule. “An evening based on rap, hip-hop”.

In March, the Pic Vert has its festival!

February 14, at the Doline theater for the show “Cultivons des Tenailles”, a show by the Aveyron collective of Souffleurs on the theme of exile. “A helping hand to this company which for five years went to the Italian border, to Ventimiglia, to bring food at Christmas time. They captured testimonies from exiles. They wrote a single one in scene which will be performed at La Doline.”

On March 8 and 9, the Pic Vert will also celebrate its festival. With programming – still to be refined – “of three or even four concerts.” “This is the event that we would like people to remember. We are going to have a big festival, enthuses Elodie. A meeting of all Pic Vert customers, from the youngest to the less young. Athletes, dancers, partygoers, theatergoers… Over two days, with Saturday, a family show at 5 p.m., a musical aperitif then three or four concerts – the program remains to be refined. On Sunday, a musical brunch and an afternoon of dancing with our partner associations.”
