A new beauty salon, BR Beauty Room, has opened at 4 rue Conchette in Thiers. At its head, Pierrette Forneris. It promises a moment of well-being thanks to treatments carried out using pulsed light.
After studying accounting and then devoting herself to sales, Pierrette Forneris stopped everything to dedicate herself to her passion: aesthetics. Based in Thiers for 15 years, the young boss opened BR Beauty Room on October 10, 4 rue Conchette. “I have always liked the beauty of women, and especially their well-being.” After several training courses, the Parisian by birth began with an internship alongside Armelle, at the Perfumerie du Château du Pirou, before obtain a permanent contract. From being an employee, she wanted to become independent and open her salon. “This opening is an achievement.”
Treatments using photoluminescent energy
The show is geared towards technology. Pierrette Forneris offers treatments entirely carried out using photoluminescent energy, that is to say the emission of pulsed light, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). Thanks to this technology, the forty-year-old practices depilation, “but also bioluminescence for facial care, or even infrared for slimming.” Pulsed light emits rays which are absorbed by the skin*.
For Pierrette Forneris, the well-being and trust of her customers are essential. Changing room, ‘pilou-pilou’ bathrobe as she calls them, slippers, cup of tea and coffee. Nothing is left to chance. “I want them to feel confident. If they feel cold, I want them to be able to tell me.”
“I want them to feel confident. If they feel cold, I want them to be able to tell me.”
Certainly, going to the beauty salon is a moment of well-being but it is also a feeling of being exposed. Clients reveal their intimacy, both physically and personally. The treatment is then punctuated by Pierrette’s attentions and instructions. As clients wear opaque black glasses, explanations are essential during the treatment to ensure their comfort. “They must feel like they are in a cocoon” and not suffer the moment. Every corner and attention having been carefully thought out, the lounge guarantees confidentiality.
Before each cycle, La Thiernoise provides free discussion time. It allows him to know his client better and to best adapt the care requested. It also provides a tracking file. “Some will say I’m strict and picky but it’s for their own good.”

Younger and younger customers
Mothers or single women, all are busy with their job, ambitions or household chores. “We forget ourselves for other priorities.” At a time when mental health is being talked about, for the beautician it is obvious, it goes hand in hand with physical well-being. “It’s a couple. If one isn’t doing well, the other will suffer and that’s the beginning of letting go.” She draws another observation: clients are younger and younger. Younger generations spend a large part of their time on social networks. Praising perfection but also superficiality, comparisons between real and fictional life are inevitable. Bringing out complexes. “College girls have already come to me for advice. I have directed them towards appropriate care. They are starting their lives, they cannot start with complexes.”
