Amir at the NMA 2024 on stage.
Music – Never before has an artist performed a performance of this type on the stage of the NRJ Music Awards. Amir, who was one of the nominees in the song of the year category, performed his song Summit surrounded by dancers. And the former candidate of The Voice did not limit his performance to singing, as TF1 viewers and the audience at the Palais des congrès et des festivals de Cannes discovered with surprise.
After a rather classic start to the performance surrounded by a troupe of dancers all dressed in beige jumpsuits, Amir was supervised by two dancers equipped with hair clippers. They then began to shave his head live, while he sang.
Obviously, at the end of his song, Amir joined Nikos Aliagas, presenter of the evening. The latter then asked him why this artistic choice and what he wanted to express through this gesture. “ Oh my, that’s weirdthe singer first replied before running his hand over his head. I don’t even know if the cut is successful… »
Then, Amir explained his action “ The NRJ Music Awards are freedom, artistic proposition, and we go far, to the top. We will have to go even harder in the years to come, I have the impression » explained the interpreter of I searched.
And the least we can say is that on social networks, the reactions were overwhelming. And many viewers were confused by this artistic and hair performance.
