Vince McMahon and WWE found themselves with a new lawsuit on their desk this week.

As mentioned on Catch-Newz, the Ring Boys case came back following the broadcast of the Mr. McMahon documentary on Netflix and the wave of recent accusations. You will find the entire file here of the complaint which concerns young boys hired to install the ring, but who were abused.

A few hours later, Vince McMahon commented on the matter through his lawyer Jessica Rosenberg, recalling that the allegations had been proven to be false in the past and that they are still false today. Accusations described as “absurd”:

”More than 30 years ago, columnist Phil Mushnick attempted to make headlines with these same false allegations. These allegations were never proven and ultimately became the subject of a defamation lawsuit against Mr. Mushnick.

Today’s accusations of negligence against Mr. McMahon are based on these same absurd, defamatory and completely baseless statements made by Mr. Mushnick. We will vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident that the court will find these allegations to be false and without merit.”

We will now have to wait for the trial to unfold to discover the further development of this case and the conclusion now that the case has been reopened.
