The new play “Attay El A’zara”, directed by Sami Saâdallah, was presented on Sunday evening at the Grand Théâtre Ben M’sik in Casablanca.
Presented by the “Al-Mouhtaraf Addahabi” dramatic arts troupe, this theatrical show brought together a host of Moroccan theater stars. These tales anchored in the Doukkala region, he continued, have permeated Moroccan popular culture, noting that the play addresses a love story caught up in the less than tolerant judgments of society. According to the director, the approach to the characters follows an introspective dynamic, exploring an emotional and psychological evolution through visual and sound metaphors. “I sought to create a symbiosis between the visual and auditory elements to accentuate the depth of the story,” he maintained.
