It was during an intervention in a school environment that Amédée Albi, “Naucellois cartoonist”, met young people from the departmental youth council (CAJ). The idea developed between the two parties gave rise to a project to create “La Belle team”.
“La Belle team” is the story of the Bousquet family, a family from Aveyron whose son, Julien, demonstrates that with pugnacity, family support and his gymnast sister, one can participate in the Olympic Games despite a handicap. . A symbol of unity and self-improvement.
Through the sketches of the comic book author, we find the Rodez hospital, the Soulages museum, the Millau Viaducts, without forgetting some reminders of the Aligot recipe. For Amédée, “this project represents a year of work, research, creation, doubts…”.
He continues to pass on his passion to young people every afternoon in his new premises, with classes from Monday to Friday, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
“La Belle team” is already available at the Maison du livre de Rodez, in cultural centers for the moment. For its first readers, it is “a real pleasure to discover this comic book, through a thrilling, touching story imbued with essential values”.
