This event is distinguished by the diversity of genres represented, ranging from fiction to documentary, including experimental. These films address a multitude of human, social and cultural themes, thus reflecting the richness and complexity of the contemporary world.
This year’s program offers a rich and varied range of activities, including film screenings, debates and workshops, which bring together an elite of Moroccan and international filmmakers. On the sidelines of the event, several eminent personalities from the film industry will be honored.
The festival management revealed the Prizes that will be awarded during this edition, including the “Grand Prix Souss for the best short fiction film”, the “Jury Prize for the best short fiction film”, as well as the “Prix Souss for Best Screenplay. Awards will also be given for the best documentaries, including the “Grand Prix Souss for the best documentary short film”. Distinctions will also be awarded for best cinematographic achievement.
Festival organizers hope it will help consolidate Agadir’s position as a cultural and tourist destination.
