Does the honeymoon rhinitis that Lola (Dounia Coesens) suffers from really exist? The answer

In the first episode of the evening of Tuesday October 15 of Tom and Lolathe heroine discovers – at the same time as the majority of viewers surely – the existence of honeymoon rhinitis, an illness from which she seems to be suffering. We explain to you what it is.

Tom and Lola, the new 3 series with Pierre-Yves Bon and Dounia Coesens, mixes action, humor and emotion. The proof in the first episode of the two episodes broadcast Tuesday, October 15, in which Lola starts to sneeze as soon as Tom suggests that she have an affair. A knee-jerk reaction and a strange illness called honeymoon rhinitis. Authors of detective fiction very often draw their inspiration from reality. If this sometimes turns out to be astonishing or even downright surprising, it is nonetheless very real.

Honeymoon rhinitis: Reality or invention?

It’s Tom who is the first to understand that Lola sneezes as soon as she plans a romantic adventure (even with Brad Pitt). As a good friend, he explains to her that it is called honeymoon rhinitis. “We didn’t know this state at all, admits Sébastien Pavard, the producer of the series. It was Thomas Boullé, the author of the arches of this first season, who made this discovery. When he told us about it, we all looked on the Internet wondering what he was talking about but, yes, it exists. It made us laugh and inspired us for this episode.” A detailed article from Health magazine goes further on the subject and explains that sneezing mainly occurs during sex.
As to whether Dounia Coesens has an innate gift for sneezing as naturally or if it’s the result of a lot of work… Met a few weeks before the launch of the series, the actress lifted the veil. “I worked because… it’s hard work, she explains, laughing and… actually sneezing. I don’t know how that feels because I haven’t seen the episode yet but it was funny.”

Little useless skills to shine in society

Series are entertaining but also allow you to cultivate yourself! If honeymoon rhinitis appears in the list of useless little bits of knowledge that allow you to shine during a dinner, Stendhal syndrome discovered in The of Crime, or that of the broken heart mentioned in Balthazar and the pilotAstrid and Raphaëlle (whose season 5 will be broadcast on France 2 from Friday November 8), also have their place there. In this little game, the series which allows you to learn a whole bunch of useless things is undoubtedly… HPI !
