another scene caught the audience’s attention. Indeed, a video relayed on social networks shows Nicole Kidman curtly rebuffing Salma Hayek, while the photographers ask them to pose alongside Katy Perry.
While the star of Eyes wide shut turns her back to the cameras, we see her colleague grab her arm and ask her to face the camera. A request which was probably not to the taste of Nicole Kidman, while the latter asks Salma Hayek not to touch her before pushing his arm away. Visibly annoyed, the Australian actress then kissed Katy Perry, before whispering a few words in the ear of the Mexican actress then taking off.

An inexplicable exchange which aroused strong questions among Internet users, some imagining a conflict worthy of a Greek tragedy between the two actresses. This October 14, a relative of Nicole Kidman gave more details on this altercation in the columns of Daily Mail. According to him, “there is no problem”. “This is a video extract which does not represent reality. Nothing happened”, he specifies.
But then, what were the two actresses talking about? “They exchanged advice while being bombarded from all angles by the cameras. They just wanted to leave”, assures the insider. Then added: “They are friends and there’s no tension, despite what people think”.

For Judi James, body language expert cited in the
Daily Mailthis awkward altercation was possibly due to a “behavior problem”. “Salma can be seen clearly trying to direct Nicole using an arm and hand that could, even if not touching her, be perceived or felt directive and a little superior”, explains the latter. “Nicole seems to push her hand away, as if to say ‘I choose when and where I go’”.
