New sexual assault claims against Diddy

New complaints have been filed against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, including one accusing the American rapper of sexual assault of a minor, a lawyer said on Monday. These six civil complaints are part of the series of proceedings involving more than 100 victims.

Criminally accused of having run a violent sex trafficking and extortion system for years, the singer and influential producer, whose real name is Sean Combs, was indicted and imprisoned in September.

“We plan to file numerous other complaints in the coming weeks against Mr. Combs and other defendants,” the lawyer warned in a statement Monday.

These complaints filed by two women and four men whose identities are not revealed cover a period from 1995 to 2021, according to the lawyer. A complainant claims that the artist sexually assaulted him when he was 16, touching his genitals, in 1998 near New York, during a party organized by the producer, also called P. Diddy or Puff Daddy and now aged 54.

‘Violent sexual predator’

At the time, Combs reportedly explained to the teenager that he had to accept this type of behavior “to break into the music industry.”

At the same time, the producer will have to answer in May 2025 during a criminal trial at the federal level for having, according to the prosecution, put his musical ’empire’ at the service of a violent system of trafficking for the purposes of sexual exploitation and extortion. Sean Combs, who says he is innocent, has pleaded not guilty.

An essential and bling-bling figure in American east coast hip-hop, Diddy has seen his star fade since the revelation in the fall of 2023 of several complaints, including accusations of rape of R&B singer Cassie, a procedure which It was finally settled amicably.

Complainants described him as a violent sexual predator who used alcohol and drugs to obtain their submission. The rapper has denied these accusations.

With his label Bad Boy Records, founded in 1993, Sean Combs contributed to the inclusion of hip-hop in global popular culture by bringing to the fore Mary J. Blige or Notorious BIG, who died in 1997.
