Don your helms and grab your swords! A medieval festival “The Bard, the Knight and the Monk” will take place at castle of the Dukes of Brittany Saturday May 11 and Sunday May 12, 2024.

Concerts, shows, cinema… It’s an opportunity to fall back into the Middle Ages.

What is the program ?

There will be conferences specialists from the Middle Ages, screenings of short films in cinema-concert with sound effects made by “L’incredible studio”, as well as the projection of a cult film: “Peau d’âne” by Jacques Demy, all under the surrounding walls of the castle.

The festival will host the historical reenactment troupe “Les crossbows de Fenrir” for shooting with a crossbow, the “Le fer” association for learning about blacksmithing, but also craftsmen’s stands.

Nantes residents will also be able to attend numerous live shows :

  • Improvisation theater by the troupe “La sympatic”,
  • storytelling shows by “Conte et vous”,
  • oud concert by Samir Aouad,
  • traditional music concert by the group “Le trio ugly”,
  • gypsy puppet show of “Plangonofore”,
  • Merovingian songs,
  • transformist heroic fantasy show by “The most beautiful girls”
  • a swashbuckling spectacle.
