Heading to the Eurovision final for Nemo. The artist from Bienne qualified in the second semi-final on Thursday evening in Malmö, Sweden. It placed eighth out of the ten qualified countries.

This qualification is not a surprise for followers of the competition. For weeks, “The Code” has been at the top of the names mentioned by punters, who see it as a potential winner. It was only overtaken in recent days by the Croatian song, “Rim Tim Tagi Dim” by Baby Lasagna.

Written in a day

With this title that he composed, the non-binary artist evokes the fact of feeling neither man nor woman and the journey taken to find one’s identity. Musically, the song written in English is also very varied with elements of rap, drum and bass and opera.

The title was written as a team a year ago in the space of a day, with Norwegian producer Lasse Midtsian Nymann, Swedish composer Linda Dale and Swiss producer Benjamin Alasu.

Nemo, his real first name, launched into music at the age of 15 by offering his first songs, at the same time abandoning his plan to apprentice as a cook. Today he lives between Bienne and Berlin.
