Mural artists have taken over the town of Bergerac

Stencils, brushes and spray paint have been out since Wednesday May 8 in Bergerac (Dordogne). For the third year in a row, urban art specialists met in the city of Cyrano to participate in the street art festival, called Art Tak. For four days, you can discover the work of these artists, spread around the “spot” installed for the occasion at Place Gambetta.

Many wonder what will become of the works created on ephemeral modules.

“The team and the organization are great, and the public is really nice,” appreciates Pierre XZXZ, who lived in Bergerac for a few years. This screen printer, located on rue Saint-Louis, works with stencils to create his frescoes inspired by the 1970s which highlight women in particular.

“We have to look up”

Opposite, the public is asking for more, curious to know, for example, if the works made on chipboard modules will remain in the city. “I love it,” comments Ginette, her plan in hand. This makes for a very nice route through town, don’t forget to look up! » At the end of this third edition, Bergerac will have a collection of 17 monumental works.
