“The city of Le Mans is very proud to welcome Bilal Hassani on Saturday July 6”. The news was announced this Thursday, May 9, 2024, on the Of course Le Mans X account.
In a short tweet, the municipality also indicates that the singer, who participated in Eurovision in 2019 at the age of 19, will be “ the sponsor of the pride march which will begin at 3 p.m. ».
The artist will then take the stage of the Plein champ festival at 7:15 p.m. for a free concert.
An outstretched hand in 2023
In April 2023, following a wave of harassment against Bilal Hassani, the artist was forced to cancel his concert which was to be held in a deconsecrated church in Metz. The city of Le Mans then held “to show his support” and invited him to perform in the Sarthe capital. This will be done within a few weeks.
