The evening of May 10 will mark this first season of Musica Tecou, the violinist Francesco Papa, in duo with Aimo Pagin, will offer an exceptional program.

The multicultural room will be the first French stage to welcome the young prodigy Francesco Papa. He will be accompanied for the occasion by pianist Aimo Pagin, an established artist based in Vienna but who performs on many renowned stages. Aimo Pagin is also the son of the virtuoso violinist Sylvia Marcovici who is none other than Francesco Papa’s teacher. Aged 16, the Italian teenager is, according to specialists, the future big name in the violin. He has won all the biggest competitions dedicated to young violinists such as the Marie Cantagrill international competition (Ariège, 2022), the Arthur Grumiaux international competition (Brussels, 2023) and many others in Italy. At twelve years old, he was already concertmaster of the junior orchestra of the National Academy of Rome.

An exceptional duo

René Koering, initiator of the Técou programming, is full of praise for this artist “who will go down in history because beyond technique, he puts emotion into his game”. The duo will offer an exceptional program. The evening will begin with the romantic “Moonlight Sonata” (opus 27 No. 2) by Beethoven. A piece so well known that it is rare in concert but which should fill the Técou room with emotion. This will be followed by the “Valse sad”, a magnificent piece by Sibelius, a Finnish composer little known in France. The piece created in 1903 was part of a work entitled Kuoléma (Death). Also on the program, “Poème” by Chausson, a work not easy but full of inspiration and captivating inspired by a short story by Ivan Turgenev and then the very beautiful “Pieces courtes” by Svetlanov. Finally, “Carmen Fantasy” by Waxmann, known for his film scores, one of the most difficult works written for instruments. A high-flying program for a prestigious evening.
