The Festival Pornic Classic returns for its 13th edition on October 11, 12 and 13, 2024, promising a rich and varied program. Under the artistic direction of Francois Dumontthis musical event is aimed at all audiences, from novices to experienced music lovers.

The festival will open with great fanfare this Friday, October 11 with the Republican Guard Harmony Orchestra and the French Army Choir.

For the first time in Pornic, these exceptional national groups will offer a spectacular concert at the Casino de Pornic, led by Colonel Sébastien Billard. The program will include works by Rossini, Bizet, Verdi, and many others, promising an unforgettable evening.

Saturday October 12 will begin with a free concert by the guitarist Ricardo Garcia at the Chapelle de l’Hôpital, followed by a performance by the Pornic Music School at the Théâtre Saint-Gilles. At the end of the afternoon, the Quatuor Debussy will perform works by Mozart and Haydn in a poetic setting.

The day will end with the pianist Jean-Marc Luisadawhich will offer a musical journey through the great cinema classics.

Concerts for all ages

Sunday October 13 will begin with an open-air performance by the School of Music, followed by a concert for young audiences with the soprano Helen Kearns.

The festival will end in style with a closing concert bringing together Augustin Dumay (violin), Henri Demarquette (cello), and François Dumont (piano) to perform works by Beethoven and Brahms.

The concerts will take place in various emblematic places in Pornic, including the Casino de Pornic, the Chapelle de l’Hôpital, the Théâtre Saint-Gilles, and the Amphitheater Thomas Narcejac.

Tickets are available at the festival’s online ticket office and at the usual points of sale. Free concerts are accessible without reservation. Information and tickets on the City of Pornic website, at the Intercommunal Tourist Office and Espace culturelle Leclerc. Full price €28, reduced price €20, under-25s €10; baby concert €7 adults, €4 reduced and €3 children under 12 years old. A full pass is available for €80, offering access to 4 concerts. Culture pass and youth e-pass from the region accepted.
