Renaud married to Cerise: and now he’s going to the other side of the world!

Together for two years, the couple formed by Renaud and Cerise, whose real first name is Christine, said “yes” to each other in the town hall of the 14th arrondissement on May 4. In front of several big names in French music and those close to the singer, with the exception of Renaud’s eldest daughter, Lolita Séchan, who was not present, the two lovers united in a ceremony that nothing could spoil. But, soon, it is in front of another audience that the two spouses will meet again. Indeed, Paris Match announces Renaud’s upcoming departure for Canada, where he will resume his tour, paused since mid-April. He is preparing a series of concerts scheduled in five cities.

Revived and ready to play despite the criticism he may have received, Renaud will continue his tour, called In my ropes, in Gatineau, Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Montreal, Trois-Rivières and Quebec City starting May 14. His return to the province of Quebec already promises to be symbolic for his audience, given that the singer has not returned there since 2007. He then played on the Plains of Abraham during the city’s Summer Festival from Quebec. Previously, his first performance in the province dates back to 1984, during the same festival. No doubt Cerise will be by his side during these five Canadian dates.

Renaud, this new album he is working on

Since meeting Cerise, Renaud seems more creative than ever. After having treated his many addictions and having made his comeback on stage, the artist would once again give free rein to his creativity to compose new songs. On February 1, he revealed to The New Republic work on love songs, because “it’s love that pushes me”. A disc would even be in preparation for 2025, collecting his new pieces, most certainly dedicated to his new partner. His friends would have suggested to him to call the album Cherry Time, in the blink of an eye. Time will tell if the name makes the cut.
