The arrival of Max, the Warner Bros Discovery streaming platform, is becoming clearer in France. The newcomer now has a launch date in France.
It is therefore from June 11, 2024, in exactly 35 days, that Max will be officially available in France. For its launch, the new platform will offer three different price offers (from 5.99 euros to 13.99 euros per month), with also a sports option billed at an additional 5 euros.
HBO series, cinema and sport
Max has already signed distribution agreements with numerous players in the sector: Free, Prime Video, Orange, SFR and Canal+. For its launch in France, Max announces the exclusive broadcast of season 2 of the HBO series “House of the Dragon”, the first season of which was broadcast on OCS, but also the entirety of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Also in Max’s catalog, the foreign series signed HBO “Game of Thrones” (of which “House of the Dragon” is a prequel), “The last of us”, “Euphoria” and even “True Detective: Night Country”. But also original in-house creations such as “The Penguin” or “Welcome to Derry, prequel to “That” by Stephen King. French productions will increase the volume of content offered, such as “A Devoted Friend” with Laure Calamy.

In addition to series, Max also offers films, including the “Harry Potter”, “Matrix” and “The Dark Knight” franchises, as well as programs from Discovery, including “Alaska: The Gold Rush” and “90 Days to get married”.
On the sports side, Max is banking on tennis with the US Open and the Australian Open, but also cycling with the Vuelta, the Giro and the Tour de France, for men and women.
