Bastien Lallemant

Album: The laziness

La Paresse, Bastien Lallemant’s sixth album, brings together ten new songs. Bastien sets out to tell the story of a couple through stories in the form of short scenarios. There is cinema in La Paresse, camera movements, settings, and at the heart of these stories, a man and a woman as if at different moments in their love life. The songs do not follow a single narrative, rather they are a patchwork of stories borrowed from distinct films. An illegitimate couple plays hide and seek with the sun in The Sun After All. A man calls for fire, rain and tears in Sans vague. A woman is betrayed in Young. We invoke the eternal love of the lovers of Pompeii. Then we lay down lasciviously in the grass and have fun singing the very new wave song La Paresse. The album is designed as a timeless, deeply intimate journey, to the heart of feelings, to the heart of this couple played by Elisabeth Spettro and Bastien Lallemant. He was inspired by episodes that she told him, she agreed to sing alongside him. We won’t know much about Elisabeth, she doesn’t want to. We will invent.

Marie Modiano

Novel : The inner island

With musical grace, Marie Modiano writes her contemporary version of Dream of a summer night. A couple of musicians, on the run. Where do they come from ? Why did they escape? Like two puppets suspended in the thread of a story already written, they embark towards Capri.
On this island land, they seem expected… Meeting the living and the ghosts who wander on the island, the narrator and her companion search for themselves. Bits of their past resurface, and each person sees an inner island appear deep within them.
With musical grace, Marie Modiano writes her contemporary version of Dream of a summer night . A novel like
a poetic journey, saturated with songs, meanings and visions.
