Participants are admitted to the Dragastel school and must choose their house (Tigredor, Becdaigle, Oursouffle and Selezard) to try to win the Founders’ Cup. Doesn’t that remind you of anything? Not even an apprentice sorcerer with glasses and a very recognizable scar that marked the beginning of the 2000s?

This Wednesday, May 8Mysteries and Spells: The Founders’ Cup will invade the streets of downtown Montpellier, at Clémenceau Park, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.. Between escape game, treasure hunt and immersive experience, this adventure, strongly inspired by the Harry Potter universe, will immerse you in a world full of witchcraft.

On the program: more than ten workshops and new games created by the team 221B Baker Street, a company from Dijon specializing in escape games. “With this concept called a mobile escape, we bring the escape game directly to a given location, and then, Harry Potter is an emblematic work of an era,” underlines Thibault Barat, communications manager.

Challenges galore

The ultimate mission of the participants is therefore to collect points to win their house. To do this, they just have to use their smartphone, which transforms into a real grimoire in which they will find instructions, clues, and their points count. During this fantastic adventure of around two hours, you will meet magic teachers and extinct creatures, you will face other students during challenges that are as unusual as they are fanciful: potions lessons, flying broomsticks, spells…

All this with three levels of difficulty. “For certain games, we offer several age categories: from 7 to 10 years old, from 11 to 15 years old, and over 15 years old. This allows you to participate in adapted activities so that everyone can have the most fun,” assures Thibault Barat. All supervised by Dragastel teachers, costumed actors, for an immersion in a magical and colorful universe. In the end, it’s not one person who wins the Founders’ Cup, but an entire house! It is certainly easy to win points, but no one is safe from losing them. So a word of advice: don’t go in there if you haven’t been expressly invited…

A collector badge to win

If you have failed in the difficult task of making your house triumph, leniency is required, since you will still leave with a collector’s badge in your colors. It is even possible to indulge in a photo session with family or friends at the end of the event to both bring back a nice souvenir and keep proof of your entry into the prestigious Dragastel school. You are wizards!
