With a storyline inspired by the universe of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, performed by RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Junglook, Begins Youth has piqued the interest of BTS fans. The Bangtan Universe tells the story of seven young boys, their friendship and their journey to adulthood.
Directed by Kim Jae-hong and written by Kim Soo-jin and Choi Woo-joo, the first four episodes of this drama were broadcast on April 30, 2024 on the Xclusive platform. We find Seo Ji-hoon, Ahn Ji-ho, Noh Jong-hyun, Kim Yoon-woo, Jeon Jin-seo, Jung Woo-jin, and Seo Young-joo.

Seo Ji-hoon as Jin or Kim Hwan
Showcasing his acting skills in K-dramas such as The Revenge of Others, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, and more, Seo Ji-hoon will play the role of Kim Hwan. To date, in the Bangtan universe, it is the eldest member, Jin, who illustrates this character in music videos.
Kim Hwan being the son of a member of the National Assembly, he follows his father’s orders and shows himself to be a person comfortable in his own skin. However, he has difficulty expressing himself, although he comes from a wealthy background. It was while changing schools that he met six young boys who would play an important role in the rest of his life.

Seo Young-joo, as RM or Kim Do-geon
The role of Kim Do-geon will be played by actor Seo Young-joo, who has previously starred in dramas like The Killing Vote, Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938, and Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung. So far, BTS leader RM has been seen as Kim Do-geon in the group’s music videos, webtoon, and other content. Having appeared in The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract, Duty after School, Kkondae Intern, and more, it is in the role of Suga, the singer of BTS, that Noh Jong-hyun should play in the universe of The Most Beautiful Moment in Life. The character of Min Ce-in played by Noh Jong-hyun is a young boy passionate about the piano who finds comfort in the company of his six friends. Despite the rumors circulating about him, like he murdered his mother and set fire to her house, nothing could be further from the truth, because Min Ce-in loved his mother above all else.

After starring in Gyeongseong Creature, All of Us Are Dead and Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days, Ahn Ji-ho will play the role of Jeong Ho-su, previously portrayed by J-Hope in BTS’ music videos. Jeong Ho-su is passionate about dancing and has an optimistic outlook on life. Despite his traumatic childhood, marked by his abandonment in an amusement park, he gets along well with his friends and those around him.

The role of Park Ha-ru which has so far been played by BTS singer Jimin in the HYYH storyline, through the septet’s music videos will be played by My Dearest actor Kim Yoon-woo . With his contagious smile, Park Ha-ru is a warm-hearted young boy whose past has been marked by traumatic events.

Jung Woo-jin as Kim Taehyung or Kim Joo-an
In the drama Begins Youth, BTS’s Kim Joo-an’s character, Bangtan Universe’s Kim Taehyung, will be portrayed as Jung Woo-jin. Kim Joo-an sees her life take a tragic turn when her father becomes an alcoholic after her mother’s sudden departure. Every day he lives in the hope that his father will free himself from his addiction.

Jeon Jin-seo as Jungkook or Jeon Je-ha
Last seen in The World of the Married, Graceful Family and The Legend of the Blue Sea, actor Jeon Jin-seo will play the character Jeon Je-ha who is played by Jungkook in BTS Universe. His family’s insecurity causes Jeon Je-ha to struggle with mental health issues, and it is through helping his friend Min Ce-in that he finds solace in life.
As Begins Youth airs four episodes every Tuesday on the paid platform Xclusive at 4:00 p.m. KST, the final four episodes will be released on May 14, 2024.
