With the support of the City of Dijon, the Cirq’onflex association is developing a space to regularly host marquees.
For several months, CirQ’ônflex, an association dedicated to the development of circus in Dijon and Burgundy-Franche-Comté, has been carrying out a circus space project in the heart of the Fontaine d’Ouche district in Dijon.
This land developed by the City of Dijon will allow the association to develop and consolidate its activities in the neighborhood, by regularly setting up marquees there.
A first canvas lifting will take place in May 2024 in this space of intersections, both artistic and public!
What is the Circus Space?
The Espace cirque is an open-air cultural space in the heart of the Fontaine d’Ouche district where big tops will be set up regularly in the summer (around 1 week per month for now). It is a space where you can see circus shows, where you can take part in an artistic practice workshop, where you can spend friendly moments with family and friends. It could also be a place of creation for artists and a space for cooperation, open in particular to initiatives from local residents.
2024, a year of experiments
In 2024, Cirq’ônflex is planning several locations in the Cirque Space, lasting one to two weeks (in May, June, August, September and October). 2024 will be a year of experimentation with the place and its uses. This year will also be conducive to meeting and consultation with residents and stakeholders in the neighborhood.
An inaugural weekend on May 18 and 19
Cirq’onflex plans a first implementation from May 14 to 25, 2024, and more particularly invites the public to come and discover the Space and its team during an inaugural weekend on May 18 and 19 (see program below)
Cirq’ônflex and Fontaine d’Ouche
Established since 2011 in the Fontaine d’Ouche district, Cirq’ônflex has since developed numerous artistic and cultural activities as well as occasional highlights of shows in public spaces (called Attractions until 2022).
In 2024, with its experience and recognition in this territory, Cirq’ônflex aims to further anchor its actions in the neighborhood, to gain visibility and regularity, by establishing this place as a regular space for crossings. artistic and public.

Installed in the Espace Cirque for two weeks, the company will meet the inhabitants of the neighborhood during horseback treks, practical workshops and public rehearsals. This installation will end with a public and festive show.
