1 – The Black Rocks

At the gates of Marrakech, Scarabeo Camp has slipped into the slow rhythm of the desert to develop. After a first camp established on the rocky terrain of Agafay in 2011, Les Roches Noires was born at the end of 2022.
Under ephemeral and spacious tents, comfort meets the luxury of simplicity: African mats, Berber rugs and objects brought from here and there. In the evening, under the starry sky, elegance is cultivated around a meal with flavors local, lit by the flickering lights of Moroccan lanterns.
The next morning, the gaze rests on the immensity before a reckless foot enters the cold water of the pool. All that’s left to do is laze in the sun and let time pass. In late 2023, Scarabeo Camp opened The Citadel, an ancient ruined fortress of striking beauty. The place is reserved for celebrations and events.

2 – Marrakech Insiders
Thomas Chabrières and his team travel the desert and, recently, their portfolio has been enriched with a new visit to a private and secret collection of vintage cars. DR
Since 2015, Thomas Chabrières and his team have been taking their guests in vintage sidecars through the winding streets of the pink city, on the surrounding slopes or throughout the country.
With the key to the fields in hand, they also open well-hidden doors, closed to the public: a villa from the 1920s of the last century, a historic residence or the roof of a private house to embrace an extraordinary view.
They also travel the desert and, recently, their portfolio has been enriched with a new visit to a private and secret collection of vintage cars. Unusual.

3 – The Break

The years go by and La Pause remains one of the most pleasant addresses in the Agafay desert. In 2002, Frédéric Alaime discovered this abandoned place while he was riding on horseback.
He opened this address there with a table and a few rooms and tents. Candles and kerosene lamps replace electricity and springs provide the necessary water.
Since then, other camps have appeared in the sands of Agafay, but La Pause has remained a safe bet. We happily go there for lunch by the pool.
