Prince of Monaco for almost 20 years, Albert II is still appreciated by Monegasques. His marital situation is not unrelated, since the sovereign has now been married to Charlène Wittstock since 2011. A union which has removed some doubts about his intimacy… but not all, so much so that the main interested party himself took speech on the subject.

If the costume of sovereign is sometimes very difficult to don, Albert II of Monaco has succeeded perfectly. A worthy successor to his parents, the sixty-year-old leads the Principality with an iron fist, combining his diplomatic obligations with his philanthropic activities. And to make matters worse, the descendant of Rainier III and Grace Kelly found love about twenty years ago.

Happy in the arm of Charlène Wittstock, met in 2006 and married in 2011, Albert II of Monaco has finally found his soul mate, he who has long multiplied one-night stands, even having several children outside of marriage, and therefore illegitimate to the succession . A reputation that has stuck with him for a long time, and that’s saying something.

Albert II of Monaco sets the record straight about his sexuality

In the magazine “Monaco, the Grimaldi saga”, journalist Pierrick Geais confirmed these preconceived ideas surrounding the Prince:

There have been many rumors about Albert’s affairs. He has been credited with relationships with models, actresses and even singers. He has long had a reputation as Casanova, as Don Juan.

And if the main person concerned obviously refrained from regularly commenting on the questions about him, he had agreed to provide an update only once. That day, he also wanted to silence rumors about those who, before he was married, suggested that he was potentially homosexual:

I always wanted to protect the relationships I had with women to protect them too.

It’s true that you don’t often see me at an official event accompanied by a friend so you could immediately imagine that I didn’t like women, maybe he likes both. It is nonsense.

Rumors which in any case no longer have any reason to exist today considering the couple formed by Albert II and Charlene. The two newlyweds also welcomed two children, legitimate this time, named Jacques and Gabriella. In short, all the uncertainty now seems far away for the Prince of Monaco, who is enjoying his family happiness.

Long surrounded by rumors going so far as to doubt his heterosexuality, Albert II of Monaco has clarified things. Without denying anything about his past conquests and his reputation as Don Juan, he found the stability he so sought with Charlene, which will also allow him to perpetuate the dynasty. And today, no one has any doubts.
