“Javelot (104) will take his first steps under my training, this Thursday, in the Quinté+. With owners, we spotted him during his last race at the racecourse of Clairefontainein June. I took the time necessary to discover him, to understand his way of being and working. I decided to change his mind by taking him outAuteuiland presenting it in hurdles, only with Australian blinders. I think he’s a good horse, he showed it, but he just needs to find the desire to race again. His jockey, Ludovic Philipperonappreciated it during his morning work. The horse is in good shape, but not yet 100%, and he should like the very soft terrain.
In the beautiful race of the day, the Prix de la Gascogne (Gr.3)I will present Uncheckable (603). He spent a month and a half resting, in the stable, but in the paddock. Then I started training again at the end of July. He was not sufficiently ready when he returned to school on September 11; we could see during the presentation round that he was still in good health! And the older he gets, the less he indulges in the morning. In a sense, this pleases me, because I know that he still has room to prepare for his objective: the Grand Steeplechase of Compiègne which will be played on November 2. He worked this Tuesday morning on the flat, he was very good. He’s gaining momentum.”
