Since January 1, 2019, following the 6th State reform, the competences linked to the reimbursement of aid measures for people with reduced mobility (cars, for example) fall entirely under the federated entities (Communities, Regions or Community Commissions). ). In RW, it is the AVIQ (Agency for Quality Life) which is competent.
Lara Kotlar, spokesperson for the AVIQ, confirms to us that electric scooters are not reimbursed by the AVIQ: “If we can pay part of the balance of an electronic car, the models classified as “scooters” are in fact not included in the nomenclature of the Walloon government decree of 2019.
