On September 26, the festivities surrounding Janette Bertrand’s centenary officially began with the inauguration of a mosaic mural bearing her image.

This work, created by the urban art creator Laurent Gasconis located at the corner of Ontario and Montgomery streets, in the Ville-Marie district, where Janette Bertrand to large ones.

This mural is part of a prestigious series aimed at honoring great Quebec personalities. She already counts Yvon Deschamps, Denise Filiatrault et Pauline Julien. These works are all distributed along Ontario Street, in order to benefit a public who does not always have the privilege of attending major artistic exhibitions.
Janette Bertrand, present at the event, proudly posed in front of the work, accompanied by the muralist. This gesture marks the start of the celebrations surrounding his 100th anniversary, paying tribute to his exceptional contribution to Quebec society.
