The victory in “Dance with the stars” hasn’t been without controversy for Natasha St-Pier. Since her coronation, the Canadian singer has been faced with a series of accusations, notably those emanating from Inès Reg, who call her victory into question. Faced with these allegations, St-Pier wanted to respond, during an interview with Le Parisien.
Persistent tensions After the finale of Dancing with the Stars
The final of “Dance with the stars” was marked by a tense atmosphere between the finalists, in particular between Natasha St-Pier and Inès Reg. The two candidates had been at odds since last January, following an incident that occurred in Natasha St-Pier’s studio.
After the finale, Inès Reg reiterated her criticism of Natasha St-Pier, claiming that the latter had orchestrated the entire controversy to draw attention to herself. Guest of Daily on C8, Inès Reg said: “I think Natasha was very intelligent, she wanted to win, she said to herself: ‘It’s going to work like this’. I have the impression of being a bit of his producer”.
The Quebec singer firmly rejected these allegations.
Natasha St-Pier’s response
Questioned by Le Parisien, Natasha St-Pier reacted to Inès Reg’s recent statements. She categorically denied manipulating the situation for her own victory, emphasizing that she could not anticipate the reactions of others. “That would mean that I know how to predict his reactions. And no one can predict anyone’s reactions,” explains Natasha St-Pier.
“Even when you know the people. And there, we don’t know each other at all. For me, when you say something inappropriate, whether humorous or not, once you have apologized, normally all adults know how to move on.” she adds.
Despite persistent provocations, including accusations of racism, Natasha St-Pier says she is seeking to turn the page on this conflicting episode.
“I’m reaching a point where I don’t know what to say anymore, or how to analyze all of this. I’m not in Inès Reg’s head, I don’t know what she feels, nor what she thinks. I hear what she says and I stay silent.” concludes Bixente’s mother.
Invited Friday evening in TPMP on C8, Natasha St Pier told Cyril Hanouna her desire to turn the page and no longer have contact with the comedian: “With Inès we didn’t know each other before, I think we won’t know each other after…”
