A stunning result that defies all predictions, since two years ago, no one would have bet on the fact that UGGs would make such a strong comeback, and yet, here we are, portraying the brand new pair that the stars have already adopted it.
UGG: from functional beach shoe to real fashion trend
Long criticized, UGGs have regained their popularity thanks to Bella Hadid who brought them back into fashion in September 2022. This style of shearling boots, initially designed as beach shoes to warm and comfort the feet the exit from the water, was created in 1978 by the Australian Shane Stedman. All in all, it is Brian Smith, another Australian surfer living in the United States, who popularized them in America, marketing them in New York and California.
Quickly appreciated for their comfort and convenience, UGGs have enjoyed dazzling success in Hollywood, becoming the prerogative of the most influential stars in fashion. In the early 2000s, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Moss swore by their shearling boots and slippers. Ten years later, it was Blake Lively who brought them back into fashion on the set of Gossip Girlwearing them between each scene to relieve her feet from the dizzying heels.

In fall 2022, it was Bella Hadid who relaunched fashion by wearing “no pants” style shorts and a racing jacket on the streets of New York. Neither one nor two, sales had taken off. Two years later, it was finally her older sister, Gigi Hadid, who legitimized UGGs, by wearing the new pair: Venture Daze.
At the crossroads of slippers Tasman and a pair of notched platform sneakers, the UGG Venture Daze allows the brand to gain height. If, personally, I am not a fan of this model, I must recognize that this proposal changes and can prove to be highly practical, in rainy weather.
