In a message sent to Newspaper through her press officer, Saturday evening, the great Ginette Reno paid a vibrant and touching tribute to Jean-Pierre Ferland, who died at the age of 89 a few hours ago.
The destinies of these two immortals of local song crossed several times. With him she sang You are my love, you are my mistress in addition to repeating the unforgettable A little higher, a little further.

The singer is heartbroken. “Every time someone I love leaves for the other side of life, there is always a part of me that leaves with them,” says Ms. Reno.
“Take your guitar with you,” she continues, “because when I arrive, we’re sure to start singing. Maybe you’ll have time to compose a new one. Félix Leclerc said: “death is big, it’s full of life inside“. In any case, old man, you lived.”
“Rest, you deserve it. See you soon. Ginette.”
