Has the balance of power changed? On Monday, September 16, the launch of the series “Brocéliande” on TF1 allowed the first channel to come out on top in the ratings, ahead of “L’amour est dans le pré”, the usual leader of Monday evenings. What about this Monday, September 23?
“Brocéliande” leader on the rise but “Love is in the meadow” still 1st on target
TF1 still has the upper hand. For its second week of broadcasting, “Brocéliande” comes in first place and even offers itself the luxury of gaining viewers compared to the launch. Episodes 3 and 4 of the mini-series starring Nolwenn Leroy captivated on average 4.43 million of viewers. Which is equivalent to 23.8% of the general public aged four and over and 24.6% of FRDA-50. Last week, the TF1 back-to-school saga, also featuring Marie-Anne Chazel and Arnaud Binard, intrigued an average of 4.20 million viewers (22.7% of the public and 24.9% of FRDA-50).
The 19th season of “Love is in the meadow” is once again second, bringing together 4.01 million viewers for the first part of the show presented by Karine Le Marchand. This represents 18.9% individuals aged 4 years and over and 30.3% Women Purchasing Managers under 50 (FRDA-50). From 9:54 p.m. to 11:02 p.m., the continuation of the adventures of the farmers entertained 3.80 million of the faithful, either 21.1% of the public and 32.9% FRDA-50. As last week, the program is leading on target.
Last Monday, P1 attracted 3.79 million (18.2% of the public and 27.0% of FRDA-50), while P2 continued to hold the attention of 3.43 million viewers (19.9% of the public). Over the entire evening, “L’amour est dans le pré” achieved an audience share of 27.4% on FRDA-50.

“Fortune de France” still 3rd but down
France 2 remains on the third step of the podium with its mini-series “Fortune de France”, which is losing viewers. 1.80 million average of loyal viewers watched episodes 3 and 4 of the fiction directed by Christopher Thompson with Nicolas Duvauchelle and Guillaume Gouix, both of whom were awarded at the La Rochelle Fiction Festival for their performance. Over the entire evening, 8.9% of the public and 3.2% FRDA-50s followed the adventures of Jean de Sauveterre (Nicolas Duvauchelle) and Jean de Siorac (Guillaume Gouix). Last week, the launch of this historical mini-series had attracted an average of 2.33 million viewers (12.0% of the public and 6.1% of FRDA-50).

Arte stronger than France 3
Arte achieved the great performance of ranking ahead of France 3 with “Le tonnerre de Dieu”, a 1965 film directed by Denys de La Patellière. The dramatic comedy with Jean Gabin and Michèle Mercier convinced 1.32 million nostalgic, either 6.4% of the public and 0.7% FRDA-50.

France 3 offered a movie night with the classic “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”, a famous western by Sergio Leone released in 1966. The film with Clint Eastwood won over 1.17 million of movie buffs, either 7.4% of the public aged 4 and over and 2.0% FRDA-50. The last broadcast of the 2h51 feature film, already on France 3, brought together 2.24 million moviegoers (15.1% of the audience), on August 1, 2022.
