Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 September, the auction at Genève Enchères will make people happy. Indeed, on the programme of this almost autumnal sale, lots as exceptional as they are varied. And this, in all areas. Among the star lots: a gouache on paper signed Ferdinand Léger. This “Still Life with Pots” comes from a private Swiss collection and is estimated at between 20,000 and 30,000 francs.

Also of note is “Mouvement mécanique”, a watercolour on paper by František Kupka, a major representative of abstractionism. Then there are the jewels, such as this beautiful ring set with a pear-cut diamond, estimated at between 40,000 and 60,000 francs. Genève Enchères is taking advantage of this sale to announce that some lots will benefit charities working to combat leprosy, in particular.
