Seven years after a controversy that ended his career on France 2, Tex, the former star presenter of “Z’amours”, is making his big comeback on television. It was on the airwaves of C8, in the show “Face à Hanouna”, that the public was able to see him again on September 7. A first appearance that did not go unnoticed and which marks a turning point for the presenter, long kept away from the sets.

Cyril Hanouna did not hide his joy at seeing Tex join his team of columnists. “I am very happy. I love this guy, I love Tex. He is a huge talent, I am so happy that you are with us, my darling,” he declared enthusiastically.

Tex quickly took the floor to discuss the current climate surrounding freedom of expression, alluding to the recent exclusion of C8 from TNT. “I feel like we have to save Private Ryan right now, with what’s happening with freedom of expression,” he said. Cyril Hanouna, always ready to play along, immediately invited him to make a joke, to which Tex responded immediately: “We’ll save some for later, maybe. We’ll try to avoid being kicked out in the first minute.”

For the record, it was precisely a joke about violence against women that cost Tex his job. He was suspended by France 2, and saw his show, “Les Z’amours”, entrusted to Julien Courbet. At the time, Tex expressed his disagreement with this decision, believing that the channel’s sanction was disproportionate. In January 2020, after taking legal action, he was finally dismissed from his complaint against the production of the show.
