On July 26, 2024, the announcement by the public prosecutor had the effect of a bomb. After ten long months without the slightest lead, investigators from the Strasbourg research section made a “major breakthrough” in the case of Lina’s disappearance: the teenager’s DNA was found in a stolen car, driven by a certain Samuel G., now the main suspect. While we now know a little more about the profile of this forty-year-old from Besançon, few details had been given concerning the discoveries in the famous Ford Puma. Was it blood? In which part of the vehicle were these DNA traces found? Were other elements discovered? It was finally our colleagues from the local newspaper Dernières nouvelles d’Alsace who revealed a little more about the progress of the investigation, in an article published this Saturday, September 7, 2024.

We thus learn that no trace of blood was found in Samuel G.’s car, “neither in the passenger compartment nor in the trunk”, but “contact DNA” was found which was taken from the seat belt of the right rear passenger seat as well as a “hairy element”. This means that Lina sat on the back seat, without it being known yet whether she got into the vehicle of her own free will. Several clues tend to prove the contrary, in particular the sudden stopping of the signal of her phone, which can only be due to a destruction or voluntary removal of the battery. (…)
