Dominique Pélicot’s condition “is not improving”, trial compromised

LWill the Mazan rape trial be postponed? On Thursday, September 12, the president of the court, Roger Arata, had warned. If Dominique Pélicot was “permanently unavailable,” the case would be postponed. Absent for a week at the hearing, the condition of the main accused does not seem to be improving, according to his lawyer, Béatrice Zavarro, relayed by Le Parisien.

This Saturday, September 13, the lawyer indicated that she had seen her client in the visiting room that same morning. “He arrived in his pajamas, feverish, his condition is not improving. In a letter addressed to the director of the Pontet penitentiary centre, where Dominique Pelicot is being held, and to the president of the Vaucluse criminal court, the lawyer also announced that she would contact the General Inspector of Places of Deprivation of Liberty.
