Auto – Because developing the most powerful car in the world has become a very ordinary little game in the upper echelons of the automobile industry, Hennessey has decided to distinguish itself in a different way

When you think of “hypercar with more than 1,000 hp”, the first name that comes to mind is Bugatti. The French brand was indeed the first to cross this symbolic bar many years ago. But there are others who, today, are literally competing in this little game, and claim a record of this or that every week.

The most active ones include: the Swedish Koenigsegg, Hennessey (also known for its monstrous versions of the Ford F-150 pickup), and the American newcomer Czinger. This race for numbers becoming tiresome, Hennessey decided to bring the “killer” touch: its 1,840 hp Venom F5 (power with E85 fuel) can be equipped with… a manual gearbox!

Unfortunately, we don’t have any more technical details. But we’d be curious to know who supplies this six-speed manual gearbox, and we’d also like to see the size of the components that make it up. To handle 1,800 hp without sending gears into orbit, it must be heavy!

In any case, Hennessey will only produce 12 copies of the manual Venom F5, in Roadster version only. The manufacturer is offering it to you at a friendly price: $2.65 million each. Of course, it is planned to(…) - 20minutes
