The company Building Logistics Services (BLS) inaugurated its logistics center “BLS Casa Hub” on Wednesday in Tit Mellil, marking a key milestone for the logistics sector in Morocco. This project, which requires an investment of 300 million dirhams, covers 50,000 m² and offers a storage capacity of 55,000 pallets, while creating 145 jobs.
Present at the inauguration, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, praised the importance of public-private partnerships as part of the national strategy aimed at improving logistics competitiveness. He also reaffirmed his department's commitment to supporting initiatives promoting employment and the optimization of distribution infrastructure.
The minister highlighted the central role of the Moroccan Logistics Development Agency (AMDL) in the deployment of logistics zones, announcing in particular the upcoming inauguration of a zone south of Agadir and development works planned for 2025 and 2026 in several strategic regions, over more than 600 hectares. These projects aim to meet the growing needs of private operators and to effectively structure the flow of goods across the Kingdom.
For his part, Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of BLS, emphasized that the Casa Hub project, supported by government incentives, is not limited to the construction of infrastructure. It also includes innovations in transportation, IT management and human skills development. He announced the creation of 150 direct and 300 indirect jobs, while affirming BLS's commitment to developing similar centers in Agadir, Tangier, Fez, Dakhla and Guerguerat.
This project, awarded the “Logistics Project of the Year” prize at the Moroccan Logistics Awards, reflects BLS’s desire to position Morocco as a regional leader in logistics by 2030.
