From the Hall of the Foundation to the Town Hall of the 9th via Stains, Undernutrition Week mobilized all energies. Conferences, practical workshops, interactive stands: everything has been designed to exchange, share and raise awareness in a friendly way.
On November 13, after a visit to CAJ Laroque, Florence Foucaut, dietitian nutritionist, and Dr. Wahid-Boumlak took their place in the council room of the town hall of the 9th arrondissement. Objective: to tell everything about malnutrition. Around fifteen residents discovered the warning signs, concrete solutions (hand-eating, colorful dishes, reminiscence) and a neurological reading of this scourge. Result: simple ideas to help our seniors rediscover the pleasure of eating.
In the Foundation Hall: we have breakfast and we learn
In addition to a shared standing breakfast, two stands and two HAD dieticians captivated the curious. One revealed concrete patient cases through powerful visuals, the other invited participants to sort out the truth from the falsehood about malnutrition with an interactive quiz. Between challenges and discoveries, here is yet another fun way to understand this major health issue.
In Stains: cooking and awareness raising for health
At the day reception center, the initiatives mixed knowledge and flavors. A dietitian led an awareness workshop, sharing practical advice to better understand and prevent malnutrition. During this time, Yassimira and Magalie, medical-psychological assistants, orchestrated a culinary workshop with the people supported. Together, they prepared a seasonal dish, as nourishing as it is delicious, proving that balanced eating can remain a shared pleasure.
