The H3N2 virus has started circulating since the beginning of November

The Ministry of Health announced, in a press release dated Wednesday, November 27, 2024, that the seasonal flu virus (H3N2) appeared at the beginning of November.

The Ministry confirms that the composition of the available vaccine now includes this virus and invites the population to adopt preventive measures to avoid infection.
These measures include flu vaccination, particularly for vulnerable people such as individuals with chronic illnesses, children, pregnant women and the elderly.

The Ministry also emphasizes the need to take daily health precautions, such as:

* wash your hands frequently,
* use a disposable tissue when coughing or sneezing,
* regularly ventilate living spaces,
* consult a doctor in case of breathing difficulties or persistent fever, and protect infants by avoiding exposing them to infection or polluted air, as well as avoiding kissing them on the mouth or nose.
