The Health Forum, which will take place on Tuesday November 19 at Maison André-Berry, in Pierre-de-Bresse, aims to provide information on men’s health, with stands open from 9 a.m. to noon and from 2 to 5 p.m. , accessible free of charge to all.
Several organizations will be present, including Sauvegarde 71, which will intervene on addictions and early cancer detection. Information on sexually transmitted infections and domestic violence will also be offered. The Red Cross will be there to offer a transportation service on demand and with a listening space for anyone needing to ask questions or obtain specific information.
Consultations on registrations
A second space will be reserved exclusively for the adult male public, where it will be possible (on registration at 07 48 16 50 25 or 03 85 75 57 00) to benefit from a free consultation with an Azalée nurse and a doctor. The initiative is part of “Movember”, a global men’s health awareness movement, and will allow participants to get screened for diseases such as colon cancer and diabetes.
Aurélie Costet, general practitioner in Mervans, emphasizes the importance of coming with your health record to take stock of vaccinations. This health forum is a great opportunity for men to take care of their health and learn about essential subjects.
On-demand transport offered by the Red Cross can be booked on 06 47 56 02 29.
